RIGHTEOUS INCUBATOR
Xegate is a private righteous incubator based on the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and the directives of the Environment, Social, and Governance factors (ESG).
We are committed in the research of technological disruptive ideas all over the world, with particular focus on the Countries with low Innovation Input (to simplify, low investments in technology) but high Innovation Output (to keep it simple, high technological outcomes).
Low Tech Input Countries are full of great ideas to implement. But they lack the financial sources or infrastructures to perform and succeed.
We see startup success stories mainly from the western world, because to succeed at least two ingredients are necessary:
- Great ideas
- Financial resources to implement them
Low Tech Input Countries have great ideas but low or no resources, that’s why we are not seeing them (yet) in the unicorn panorama.
Xegate, in a meritocratic selection process, provides them with resources and a friendly environment to work, to help them prosper and reach their targets.
Thus, soon we will see unicorns coming from teams from any country, we are sure.
Moreover, people form low Tech Input Countries struggle every day toward SDG’s, so they are naturally focused on it, and ideas towards achieving these goals flourish naturally.
And, compared to first world’s Countries, Teams from low Tech Input Countries are extremely committed to succeed, as Xegate gives them a great opportunity to nurture.
STRUCTURE

Our working model is split into four departments: XCRS, Polaris, Vesta, Ingenium. Each one has its own functions and responsibilities.
XEGATE COMMITTEE FOR RESEARCH & SCIENCE is Xegate's departments taking care of the selection and the set-up of new Innovative Technologies and Projects.
XCRS’s responsibilities are:
- Company scouting

- Engineering check
- Director’s check
- Committee screen
- Negotiation & contract

Polaris’ responsibilities are:
- Business Planning

- Marketing
- Fostering the startup ecosystem

VESTA is Xegate's departments responsible to manage the offices and the facilities.
Vesta’s responsibilities are:
- Facilities management
- Offices and shared desk and labs management
INGENIUM is Xegate's departments responsible of engineering and pototypization.
Ingenium’s responsibilities are:
- Engineering
- Technical consultancies
- Development of prototypes
- Prototypes testing & validation
SELECTION PROCESS
Our startup selection process consists of a three-step selection, carried both in the startup’s Team home Country and in Switzerland.
Startups are carefully evaluated especially for their idea, solution, achievements, market potential, intellectual properties, team academic background, and motivation.
Our funnel is 50:1 and, during the incubation time, the work is in cooperation between the competencies of the startup itself, Polaris, Ingenium and Vesta.
